Affected States
The Director of the Minerals Management Service has determined the areas of the Outer
Continental Shelf that "affect" the Gulf of Mexico coastal states. If an Exploration Plan, a Development and Production Plan, or
a Development Operations Coordination
Document proposes operations in an area determined to affect a State, and if that
State has an approved Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Program, the OCS plan is subject to
CZM requirements. The following maps delineate these defined areas:
