concluding its activities related to Tropical Storm Bonnie. This is the
final update of evacuation and shut-in production statistics for Tropical Storm
Bonnie.

Readout From BOEM Discussion With Shallow Water Drillers
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and
Enforcement (BOEM) has concluded a week of discussions led by Director Michael R.
Bromwich with Louisiana Lt. Gov. Scott Angelle and the Shallow Water Energy Security
Coalition to provide further guidance and clarity to shallow water drilling operators
regarding compliance with BOEM’s new safety and environmental requirements.

BP Liable for Reporting and Royalties on Oil and Gas from Leaking Well
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Interior’s chief oil and gas
regulatory official has informed BP that it must report all oil and gas-related
activities at the damaged Macondo well and pay royalties on all oil and gas
captured from the leaking well.

Stakeholders in Deepwater Drilling Safety Reforms
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Secretary of the Interior Ken
Salazar today directed the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and
Enforcement (BOEM) to issue new suspensions of deepwater drilling on the Outer
Continental Shelf (OCS), saying a pause is needed to ensure that oil and gas
companies first implement adequate safety measures to reduce the risks
associated with deepwater drilling operations and are prepared for blowouts and
oil spills.

Interior Extends Opportunity for Public Input on Environmental
Analysis of 2012-2017 Oil and Gas Leasing Program
WASHINGTON, DC — Citing the need to proceed cautiously on the Outer Continental
Shelf and to review safely and environmental issues associated with offshore drilling,
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced today that Interior is postponing public
scoping meetings for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the 2012–2017 Outer
Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Leasing Program until later in 2010.

inspectors more tools, more resources, more independence, and greater authority
to enforce laws and regulations that apply to oil and gas companies operating on
